1914-15 medal trio in new frame with copy photo of 10/1345 PTE A F N STEVENS NZEF - the son of a prostitute, he was taken from his mother and put in an industrial school. Arthur was killed at Chunuk Bair whilst serving with the Wellington Infantry aged 36. He was reported missing in the battle and later presumed dead. His body was never recovered.

The Boer War and WW1 medals to war to Frederick William Lucas killed on Gallipoli - in a modern frame with a copy photo. QSA 9033 PTE F W LUCAS 10TH NZ CONT. 1914-15 Star and 1914-18 War Medal 13/708 TPR F W LUCAS NZEF. The Victory Medal an erased or un-named filler. Frederick was the manager of the NZ Dairy Assoc creamery at Whangarata and later the creamery at Kaukapakapa. He was killed in action on 8 August 1915 during the attack on Chunuk Bair – aged 32.

The Boer War and WW1 Medals to Charles Kelland - of the Canterbury Infantry. Killed with the Trench Mortars, on the Somme 28 April 1918. Charles Kelland served in the Boer War with the 7th NZ Contingent. His QSA is named 4418 PTE C C KELLAND 7TH NZ CONT. His WW1 pair is named 27307 PTE C C KELLAND NZEF. Mounted in modern frame with small NZ Boer War veterans fern leaf badge and copy photo.

An historic Boer War presentation silver mounted horses hoof inkwell - the applied silver shield presentation engraved with multiple names including Lt. Col. F.C. Bethune Major, Major R.L.Walter and 31 other names. The silver top with missing attachment and small lidded inkwell above an applied silver mount modelled and engraved as horses hair. Silver horse shoe to the base.

The historic WW1 Memorial Plaque named to JAMES HENDERSON - in modern frame with copy photo. Presumed to be 13/277 Lieutenant James Henderson from Kihikihi was a single farmer who served with the Waikato Mounted Rifles at Gallipoli and was killed at Chunuk Bair on 8 August 1915.

1914-18 War medal to 16120 (T) CPL G J PORTEOUS NZEF - he served in the Canterbury Mounted Rifles in Sinai and Palestine and then the conclusion of the war formed part of the occupation force which served in Turkey and returned to Gallipoli in November 1918 to bury the dead. Quite rare as such. Sold with his elaborately engraved gold fob from the town he was from. This is 9ct and weighs 6.9gms.

WW1 1914-15 trio of medals in a modern frame - with copy photo and 2 wound stripes. The medals all correctly impressed 10/409 SJT L A KINZETT NZEF. Louis Kinzett was living in Wanganui working as a wood turner when he enlisted in the Wellington Infantry in October 1914. He served at Gallipoli where he was wounded on 5 May 1915. He is known to have been involved in a brutal bayonet charge earlier. After recovery in Egypt he was returned to Gallipoli 3 months later, narrowly missing his Battalions near obliteration at Chunuk Bair on 8 August. His second wounding was in France on 15 September 1916.

WW1 1914-15 trio of medals in modern frame - with copied photo, to 12/134 2/LT E HORROBIN NZEF. Edwin Horrobin enlisted in the Auckland Infantry in October 1914. He was a bank officer working in Auckland for the Bank of Australasia. He embarked as a Private and served with the Auckland Infantry at Gallipoli. He was later posted to HQ in London where he had clerical roles. He worked for the Bank of Australasia for 41 years, his last 12 years as manager in Napier (likely during the earthquake) before he retired in 1943. He died in 1963.

With plaited fibre lashing to the figure carved wooden scabbard, the carved bone hilt with grotesque animals and scrolling forms and hair tufts highlights. The shaped blade narrowing to the handle. Anton Teutenberg UFBA medal to Benjamin Hounslow - with his name on the medal suspender and bar, contained in box of issue. The medal named to Benjamin Hounslow from the Masterton Fire Brigade 1880. Benjamin was a cabinetmaker who died at Masterton 1893 aged 32/3. The medal is an excellent early example of Teutenberg's work and has been hand engraved by him.

A highly decorative and energetic bronze of a bodhisattva Shaolin monk - wielding his khakkhara staff in his raised arm and manifesting a flaming pearl in his left hand, stamped under the hem of his flaring cloak with two undeciphered zhuanshu script seal marks. One of a matched pair, a massive Japanese Imari porcelain charger - decorated with madoe panels of 'brocade' patterns, gilt dragon rondel motifs, ancient pines and an unfurling scroll depicting Manchurian cranes in flight between ribbons of mist on a background of jade and gold cloud forms.
