An English Un-Named Percussion ‘Pepper Box’ Pistol,
very good quality. 2½" 6-shot barrel group, .32 calibre. Bar Hammer with sliding safety. All metalwork with a dark uncleaned patina, scroll engraving to frame, ‘Improved Revolving Pistol’ engraved on left side plate. Original, finely chequered grip with oval silver escutcheon has pronounced flare at base of butt, spring loaded trap for spare caps in butt plate. Nipples somewhat battered but action in working order. Birmingham proofed. A nice pistol. Good working order and condition. quality grained mahogany stock, brass furniture, steel lock. The brass barrel with proof marks. The lock plate with Government crown above GR and maker's name 'TOWER'. Captured ramrod. Minor faults. L.815mm.

5 shot, chequered grips. Detailed to body ' B, 16,791 PATENT No. 32,465. R.'. Matching number to cylinder. Detailed to top strap 'DEANE & SON 30 KING WILLIAM ST. LONDON BRIDGE' . A good Indian mail and lamellar shirt, 17thC, probably Bijapur, Karnataka state, India,
of large riveted iron rings open at the front and extending to cover the upper leg, the back with single vent and formed around three rows of narrow vertically overlapping iron plates, the central row with cusped lower edges, the sides incorporating pairs of iron plates, the front with two pairs of overlapping square convex iron plates each with two shaped bars with buckles for straps, and full length sleeves. Note: This shirt is almost certainly part of the large group captured in 1689 following the defeat of Adilshahi dynasty at the siege of Adoni by Maharajah Anup Singh and subsequently installed in the armoury at Bikaner, Rajasthan. A Colt .36 calibre Navy Model 1851 percussion revolver,
4th model, Hartford - London. Serial # 39064, all matching numbers. Iron backstrap and trigger guard, London Proved cylinder and left side of frame barrel. Top strap marked ‘- Address Col Colt London -’. Grips show service usage with some minor dings and corner chips but are sound and original. Iron work has sharp corners and good cylinder scene and is mostly silver-grey overall with some staining on grip straps. Action is tight and positive, nipples are good. Snider Three-Band Long Rifle with Hay pattern rear sight,
(this rifle marked ‘II’ on breech ring but has Mk.III breech fitted, possibly in-service change as patina matches). Caliber .577 breech loading. 33½" barrel with approximately 80% original deep blue remaining. Three-groove rifling in very good condition. Sound walnut stock has been expertly oil-refinished some time ago with storekeepers mark on butt just visible. Brass butt plate tang with aged marking ‘S. NZ AC 947’. This number repeated on side plate flat. Rifle retains its chain and nipple protector, is fitted with old blanched buff leather sling marked inside ‘Broad Arrow 30’ but is missing the clearing rod. Lock marked ‘Tower’ over ‘1865’ but has no royal cypher. A very desirable 3-band rifle in better than average condition. Good working order and condition. under hammer action with ring trigger, fine foliate decoration, engraved maker's name. Walnut grips. L.195mm. No license required.

A 19thC Prussian M1811 'Blucher' sabre,
from the early to mid-19th century. Based on the British 1796 light cavalry sabre. With heavy 33" (825mm) blade, marked ‘221/Crown/JW’ to the blade back, the hilt with fluted wooden grip with steel stirrup guard and riveted back strap with langets. With steel scabbard. Numerous armoury stamps to crossguard front and leading face as well as scabbard throat. Such swords were often reissued numerous times to different units. VGC.
