Lot Details
Michael Blow 1943-2025 was one of New Zealand's leading representation artists. Trained at Elam's fine arts school he won two national prizes. Early in his career he tutored painting in Napier. It was during this time that this piece was purchased directly from the artist by one of his pupils 1981. Michael honed his talents across many countries drawing inspiration from real life's intricate details. At this time still life was a speciality that allowed him to explore the richness of colour and texture which is so evident in his work. frame with stains
